Forum for Innovative Regenerative Medicine (FIRM)

Toward industrialization of regenerative medicine

In 2011 the Forum for Innovative Regenerative Medicine (FIRM) was incorporated to "quickly establish social systems to ensure safe and stable access to the benefits of research into regenerative medicine . . . seek complete cures for the ills that many medical patients suffer from . . . safeguard the national interest and contribute to international society" (excerpted from the FIRM website).
Since FIRM's inception, J-TEC, as a regular member, has striven to establish regenerative medicine as an industry in collaboration with the other corporate members. As of March 2021, FIRM is an industry group participated in by 256 companies. In June of 2019, our company president, Ken-ichiro Hata, was appointed representative director and chairperson of FIRM.
J-TEC will continue stiving to contribute to the further development of regenerative medicine through collaboration among industry, the government, and academia, as well as through collaboration between companies.
