Basic ethical policy
The research, development and manufacture of TEMPs using human cells and tissues can only be undertaken through the application of strict ethical principles. Since its inception, J-TEC has set out a fundamental policy on ethics on the basis of these principles, and is committed to observing this policy with regard to the utilization of human cells and tissues. As one aspect of this, J-TEC was the first company in its field to establish an Ethics Committee in 1999. Members of the J-TEC Ethics Committee include both company employees and specialists from outside the company. They debate the ethical appropriateness of the company's entire operations and offer an objective evaluation of how cell and tissue collection and provision are being implemented, as well as of safety management.
